NEW!! One of the many purposes of the Conservation District is to assist farmers and producers in improving conservation on the farm while increasing agricultural production. We do this by making conservation smart equipment available to producers at a reduced rate.

Through a grant made available by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture to the Montgomery SWCD, producers may now rent a 10 foot no-till DRILL for use in Montgomery and surrounding counties. Use of the no-till drill increases soil health, soil structure, prevents erosion and thus, increases water quality right here in Montgomery County, Tennessee!
The Cumberland River Compact through the Montgomery SWCD has made available a 2 row, no-till SETTER for use in Montgomery and surrounding counties. Use of the setter increases soil health and prevents soil erosion by utilizing no-till planting practices.
