The David E. Hinton Annual Scholarship was created in 2002. It is available to qualifying High School Seniors that are a resident of Montgomery County. The applicant must be a graduating senior who plans to attend ANY accredited college within the State of Tennessee and major in a conservation or agriculture related field (ex: Ag-Business, Ag- Science, Ag-Communications; Environmental Studies, Pre-Vet and Pre Forestry).
Applicants must complete and submit by OCTOBER 1 DEADLINE:
- Scholarship Application
- minimum of two recommendations letters
- official high school transcript
The David E. Hinton Scholarship is for $1,000 (or $500 / semester) and is payable directly to the college with the student(s) name as recipient. The Montgomery County Soil Conservation District Board of Supervisors will review the applications and choose the student(s) to be awarded the scholarship.
